Donald Cook<\/strong> struggled courageously against several physical ailments for much of his adult life. These struggles ended the morning of Friday, June 25. Donald died at age 34.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By early evening his friend Jo-Shannon Bullock Hartnett<\/strong><\/a> had posted notice of his passing on Facebook. As of this writing, there have been almost 100 replies expressing condolence, and over 300 shares. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jo-Shannon made arrangements for a Celebration of Life event that began at 10 am the next day on the north side of the Courthouse lawn.  By coincidence, earlier in the week Donald\u2019s father, Dick Cook<\/strong>; his stepmom, Mary Cook<\/strong>; and his sister, Katie LaGrange<\/strong> had traveled to Oxford <\/strong>from their home in Indiana <\/strong>to attend to other family matters. Dick and Mary both offered scripturally based words of hope and consolation, as did Pastors Kirk Kay<\/strong> and Jonathan Palmer<\/strong> from Pinelake Church<\/strong><\/a>, where Donald was a devout member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
