{"id":109636,"date":"2021-02-19T12:09:48","date_gmt":"2021-02-19T18:09:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/?p=109636"},"modified":"2021-02-19T12:09:52","modified_gmt":"2021-02-19T18:09:52","slug":"local-law-enforcement-agencies-issue-statement-concerning-local-animal-shelter-complaints","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/local-law-enforcement-agencies-issue-statement-concerning-local-animal-shelter-complaints\/","title":{"rendered":"Local Law Enforcement Agencies Issue Statement Concerning Local Animal Shelter Complaints"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On February 17, 2021, complaints were filed with the <strong>Oxford Police Department<\/strong> and the <strong>Lafayette\u00a0 County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/strong> in reference to events and procedures associated with the animal shelter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reports that were filed are in reference to complaints ranging from December 2018 to December 2020.\u00a0 The nature of the complaints were based on the overall treatment of animals, medical care, over-occupancy,\u00a0 and disposal procedures.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both law-enforcement agencies initiated investigations on the complaints yesterday afternoon and did an&nbsp; inspection of the facility.
