On January 30, 2021, investigators with the Lafayette County Sheriff\u2019s Department<\/strong> began investigating a burglary of the My Oxford Storage Unit Complex<\/strong>, 347 Highway 6 East<\/strong>, after several vehicle, campers, and boats were burglarized. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators were able to gain video footage of the suspects, stealing an orange side by side, on a trailer, along with several batteries from the campers and boats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After further investigation, Colan Stewart Kemp<\/strong>, 33, of Courtland, Mississippi<\/strong>, and Jaya Wiley<\/strong>, 20, of Water Valley<\/strong>, Mississippi, were arrested and charged with 8 counts of Commercial Burglary and 2 counts of Grand Larceny. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kemp and Wiley are currently being held in the Lafayette County Detention Center<\/strong> on a $100,000.00 bond each, set by a Justice Court Judge<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
