{"id":102103,"date":"2020-09-15T13:47:15","date_gmt":"2020-09-15T18:47:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/?p=102103"},"modified":"2020-09-15T13:47:19","modified_gmt":"2020-09-15T18:47:19","slug":"oxford-film-festival-to-host-a-virtual-screening-for-the-2020-food-film-fest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/oxford-film-festival-to-host-a-virtual-screening-for-the-2020-food-film-fest\/","title":{"rendered":"Oxford Film Festival to Host a Virtual Screening for the 2020 Food Film Fest"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>In Lieu of This Year\u2019s Oxford Food Film Festival, Oxford Film Festival Will Donate Proceeds from home rentals of A CHEF\u2019S VOYAGE to Oxford Community Market<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>As a safe alternative to the annual <strong>Oxford Food Film Festival<\/strong>, the <strong>Oxford Film Festival <\/strong>will host\u00a0<strong><em>A Chef\u2019s Voyage<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>in their <strong>Virtual Cinema Arthouse<\/strong>, starting on September 18, 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tickets to rent the film are $10, and 50% of the proceeds earned will be donated to the <strong>Oxford Community Market<\/strong>, the film festival\u2019s usual partner for the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Oxford Community Market is so appreciative of the support from the Oxford Film Festival,\u201d said Market Director <strong>Betsy Chapman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>A Chef&#8217;s Voyage<\/em>\u00a0follows the celebrated American Chef <strong>David Kinch<\/strong> and his team from <strong>Manresa<\/strong>, their 3 Star Michelin restaurant in <strong>California<\/strong>, for a one-of-a-kind collaboration with three legendary French chefs at their iconic restaurants in Paris, Provence, and Marseille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To mark the 15th anniversary of Manresa, Kinch decides to close shop for a month so he and his staff can embark on their France voyage. Planning the trip takes months; to represent the refined Californian cuisine of Manresa, the team must bring their own seasonings, sauces that take days to make, and lots of abalone.
