Make your voice heard! Engage in the democratic process! City of\u00a0Oxford<\/strong>, University of Mississippi<\/strong> students, Lafayette County<\/strong> residents, and all Mississippians are invited to submit short videos and creative works to “Oxford\u00a0to the\u00a0Ballot\u00a0Box\u201d <\/strong>for online streaming and a September 28 public screening event.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOxford to the Ballot Box\u201d is a community engagement project focusing on the 2020 Presidential elections. The project\u2019s goal is to encourage thoughtful, civic discussion about the election and democracy, reflecting on the vital issues for Mississippi and the country, while providing a public forum for participants\u2019 creative and civic expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project welcomes short videos (30 seconds to 3 minutes\u2014contact info is below if you have a longer project to share), including candidates for \u201cFirst Time Voting,\u201d and \u201cYour Voting Experience,\u201d series that invite participants to remember and reflect on their [inaugural] voting experience.\u00a0\u00a0

Slide shows and podcasts also welcome for inclusion on the website.
