{"id":101534,"date":"2020-09-05T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-05T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/?p=101534"},"modified":"2020-09-04T22:16:51","modified_gmt":"2020-09-05T03:16:51","slug":"watch-a-full-length-concert-from-1992-of-beloved-oxford-mississippi-band-beanland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/watch-a-full-length-concert-from-1992-of-beloved-oxford-mississippi-band-beanland\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch a Full Length Concert from 1992 of Beloved Oxford, Mississippi Band Beanland"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Beanland <\/strong>was founded in <strong>Oxford, Mississippi<\/strong> in 1985 by guitarists <strong>Bill McCrory<\/strong> and <strong>George McConnell<\/strong>, with <strong>Adam Stoll<\/strong> on drums and harmonica. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After some early shuffling, the band&#8217;s line-up consisted of McConnell and McCrory on guitar, <strong>John &#8220;JoJo&#8221; Hermann<\/strong> on keyboards, <strong>Ron Lewis<\/strong> on bass, and <strong>Harry Peel<\/strong> on drums. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The band recorded a self-titled debut album in 1991 and toured extensively, mainly around the South and Southwest, playing blues-oriented rock as part of the nascent early-1990s jamband renaissance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shortly after the album&#8217;s release, keyboardist John &#8220;JoJo&#8221; Hermann left Beanland to join <strong>Widespread Panic<\/strong>.
