Holly Springs, Mississippi Man Arrested in Oxford for Possession of a Stolen Firearm<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a>On Sunday, June 17, 2018, at 12:27 AM, an officer with the Oxford Police Department<\/strong> made a traffic stop on a vehicle operating without headlights. \u00a0A search of the vehicle uncovered a firearm under the driver\u2019s seat which ended up being a reported stolen gun from Oxford. The driver, Malique Nunnally<\/strong> (18 of Holly Springs, Mississippi<\/strong>), was arrested and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked for possession of a stolen firearm, no driver\u2019s license, no headlights, and no insurance. His bond was set at $2,500 by a Justice Court Judge.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oxford Mississippi Police Arrest Oxford Man for Domestic Violence – Aggravated Assault and Kidnapping<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a>On Friday, June 15, 2018, the Oxford Police Department<\/strong> responded to a residence off of Old Taylor Road for a reported domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers made contact with Patrick Pratt<\/strong> (21 of Oxford, Mississippi) inside the residence. An investigation ensued and it was discovered that Pratt had strangled the victim and held the victim there against their will. Pratt was arrested and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked for Domestic Violence \u2013 Aggravated Assault and Kidnapping. He was given a bond of $35,000 by a Justice Court Judge.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oxford Man Arrested for 4th DUI, Child Endangerment, Suspended Driver\u2019s License, No Insurance, No Taillights, No Tag, and Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle<\/h1>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span>On Wednesday, June 6, 2018, an officer with the Oxford Police Department<\/strong> attempted to make a traffic stop on South 18th<\/sup>\u00a0Street on a vehicle with no taillights. The vehicle continued until it stopped at a residence on Garfield Ave. The officer made contact with the driver, Christopher McDaniel<\/strong> (29 of Oxford, Mississippi<\/strong>), and began a DUI investigation. <\/span><\/p>\n

During the investigation it was discovered that McDaniel had at least 3 prior DUI convictions and that there was a child in the car with him. McDaniel was subsequently arrested and charged with DUI 4th<\/sup>, child endangerment by DUI, driving with a suspended driver\u2019s license, no insurance, no taillights, no tag, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. <\/span><\/p>\n

McDaniel was booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center and given of a bond of $25,000 by a Justice Court Judge.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oxford, Mississippi Man on Parole Charged with Domestic Violence and Aggravated Assault<\/strong><\/h1>\n

\"\"<\/a>On Friday, June 1, 2018, at approximately\u00a03:00 AM, the Oxford Police Department<\/strong> responded to Baptist Memorial Hospital \u2013 North Mississippi<\/strong> for a male and female with multiple injuries. Officers were able to obtain that the suspect in both assaults was Justin Hilliard<\/strong> (28 of Oxford, Mississippi<\/strong>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Hilliard was found shortly after by patrol officers and taken into custody. The male victim was flown to Regional One Health<\/strong> in Memphis<\/strong> but has since been released. Hilliard was charged with Domestic Violence \u2013 Aggravated Assault (female victim) and Aggravated Assault (male victim) and given a bond of $50,000 by a Justice Court Judge. Hilliard was currently out on parole and has a hold placed on him by the Mississippi Department of Corrections<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Four Charged with Burglary and Kidnapping at the Flatts at South Campus<\/strong><\/h1>\n

\"\"<\/a>On Thursday, May 31, 2018, at approximately\u00a07:00 PM, the Oxford Police Department responded to the Flatts at South Campus for a home invasion. The suspects entered the residence and held the victim against their will while robbing the apartment.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>During the course of the investigation the four suspects were identified as Raymond Coffey Jr<\/strong> (18 of Tillatoba, MS), Ricky Gerard<\/strong> (18 of Tillatoba, MS), Theo Holloway<\/strong> (18 of Oakland, MS), and a juvenile. All four suspects agreed to return to Oxford and turn themselves over to law enforcement the same night and brought back the stolen items with them.<\/span><\/p>\n

An arrest warrant was issued for her arrest. On Tuesday, May 29, 2018, Smith was arrested by the Water Valley Police Department. She was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center and booked on the warrant and given a bond of $1,500 by a Justice Court Judge.<\/span><\/p>\n
