Broderick White 31 of Memphis, TN – Shoplifting<\/strong><\/span>
\nOn Monday April 22 2016, officers were dispatched to Wal-Mart in reference to an unknown male shoplifting multiple electronics valued at 1117.72. Through our investigation it was determined that the male who was later identified as Broderick Durel White was selling the stolen electronics in the Memphis, TN area. A warrant was issued for his arrest and after obtaining a Memphis, TN residential address. Detectives notified the Shelby County Fugitive Division and with the partnership of Memphis Police Department. White was found at the residence and taken into custody and currently being held at 201 Poplar Ave until he can be brought back to Oxford, MS. White has one Felony warrant in Shelby County, TN and another in Horn Lake, MS for similar crimes. No bond has been set at this time.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Monday April 25th, 2016, officers with the Oxford Police Department arrested John Branson Keyte (19 of Denver, CO) for Credit Card Fraud. The victim in the case reported fraudulent charges to his American Express Card in the amount $700.49 on April 21st, 2016 at a local business in Oxford. Upon obtaining video surveillance, the victim was able to positively identify Keyte.\u00a0 Bond was set at $2,500.00.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nOn Wednesday, April 20, 2016 investigators of the Oxford Police Department served an arrest warrant to Mr. Demario Martinez Carter (28) of Cleveland, Mississippi with Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault {97-3-7(3)}.<\/span>
\nOn Tuesday, April 19, 2016 officers responded to 13 Pea Ridge Road, Oxford, Mississippi for a male that would not leave a female\u2019s home. Officers got there and investigated the call. The victim claimed that Carter strangled her until it was hard for her to breathe. Carter was arrested for domestic violence. The victim signed a felony affidavit on Carter. Carter was booked on Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault {97-3-7(3)}. Carter\u2019s bond was set at $2,500.00.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nOn Sunday 17 April 2016 at 8:37 PM, officers with the Oxford Police Department were dispatched to a single car wreck at the Scott Center on North 5th Street. Upon arrival officers determined that the sole operator Dylan Charles Rikard, 19 years of age from Lake Cormorant, MS was operating his vehicle under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and a DUI Officer was called to the scene. Rikard was subsequently arrested for DUI 3rd and taken before Municipal Court Judge Larry Little where a bond of $2,500.00 was set. Rikard is still at the Lafayette County Detention Center until he can post bail.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nOn Saturday, April 16, the Oxford Police Department served Kilo Bryant(20 Oxford, MS.) an outstanding warrant for burglary at the Lafayette County Detention Center. On 01-09-2016, Officers were dispatched to Mclarty Road for a burglary that had already occurred. Several power tools were taken from the residence and were found to be pawned at a local pawn shop by Bryant. The items were recovered and returned to the victim. Bryant was given a bond of $5,000.<\/span><\/p>\n

Upon arrival officers were able to locate the suspect and he was subsequently arrested for felony shoplifting. The total amount was $1260.97 and a bond was set forth at $2,500.00<\/span><\/p>\n

Kevin Hernandez \u2013 Motor Vehicle Theft 18 of Oxford<\/strong><\/span>
\nOn April 15th officers of the Oxford Police Department took a report of a stolen vehicle that had just occurred. Through an investigation, it was found that the suspect was a Hispanic male. Shortly, the vehicle was located and the suspect, Kevin Eduardo Garcia-Hernandez was taken into custody. Hernandez was charged with Motor Vehicle Theft and taken before Judge Mickey Avent for his Initial Appearance. His bond was set at $2,500.00.<\/span><\/p>\n

David Adams \u2013 Possession of a weapon by a felon (24 of Grenada)<\/strong><\/span>
\nOn April 17th officers of the Oxford Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Pegues Road. While speaking to the driver and passenger, officers found that the passenger had a firearm inside his waistband. Upon checking the passengers criminal history officers found that the passenger, David Andrew Adams was a convicted felon. Adams was arrested and charged with Possession of a Weapon by a Felon. Adams was taken before Judge Mickey Avent for his Initial Appearance and his bond was set at $5,000.00.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both burglaries happened in February at the Oxford Square Apartments. Miller was arrested after Investigators were able to identify him as being one of the individuals that broke into the apartments. \nOn April 7 2016, Smith County S.O. called and advised that they had pick up Trey Miller on an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Assault. This was a result of an incident that happened in Oxford on March 5th at Hyatt Loop where Miller was inside another person\u2019s home and an argument ensued. During the argument Miller pulled a gun, fired it inside the residence and fled the area. No one was hit by the bullet. A search was started immediately for Miller after the victim identified him. Bond was set by the Sheriff at $25,000.00<\/span><\/p>\n

\nGeramy Drummer \u2013 Residential Burglary<\/strong><\/span>
\nOn April 8, 2016, Investigators of the Oxford Police Department arrested Geramy Drummer (19) of Rosedale, MS with Burglary of a Dwelling. Drummer was arrested after officers responded to the Oxford Square Apartments for a burglary. Officers began doing a knock and talk with residents when they spoke to a group of individuals that were using narcotics in the living area of their apartment. Officers secured the residence and after a search all the stolen property from the reported burglary was recovered and eventually returned to the victim. Drummer was arrested on scene and was booked, his bond was set at $20,000.00.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jarvis Carter – Burglary<\/strong><\/span>
\nOn Tuesday, April 5, the Oxford Police Department arrested Jarvis Carter (19 Oxford, MS.) for burglary. On April 4th Officers responded to the Saddle Creek subdivision for a residential burglary. The resident had two laptops stolen. On Tuesday night Officers stopped Carter and during the stop conducted a search of his car, during the search the two laptops were recovered. Investigators were able to identify the laptops in Carter\u2019s possession as being the two stolen from Saddle Creek. Carter was arrested on scene and was later given a bond of $2,500.<\/span><\/p>\n
