Server Savvy: Leslie Grace Davis of The Blind Pig

Hometown: Brookhaven, Mississippi

Restaurant where you work, and your typical shifts: Blind Pig. Weekends are my jam.

What is your go to recommendation for those undecided customers? Alcohol.

What are your favorite foods? Cheetos and Mr. Goodbars.

How is your refrigerator right now? Empty as the bottle of Jameson at the bar.

Who is the most famous person you’ve served? What did they order? Back home I served Deuce McAllister (WHO DAT). 10 oz ribeye, garlic mashed potatoes, and a side salad with ranch.

What is the strangest request one of your customers has made? Glenlivet and Diet Coke, my soul died a little.

What’s your most memorable experience working at a restaurant? My old manager and I chased a couple outside after they didn’t pay . . . and left their child at the table.

Favorite way to relax after a long shift? Holding whichever cat will allow me to the longest.

What are a few of your favorite places to dine? Casa Mexicana, Pick Thai, and, of course, The Basement of Dreams.

Number one lesson you’ve learned since becoming a server? It’s not life or death, just lunch and dinner.

Home game weekends: Work or flee? That’s money, honey. The Local Voice Ligature
