Oxford Man Arrested for Murder of Wife in The Lakes Subdivision

On Friday June 11, 2021 at approximately 12:15 pm, Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to 204 Spring Lake Cove for a welfare concern.

Upon arrival and at the completion of the investigation deputies arrested David Lee Swims, Jr. 41 yrs. old black male for Murder.

David is currently being held at the Lafayette County Detention Center and has a bond set by the Justice Court Judge of Lafayette County at $100,000.00. The victim being his wife Anteeatta Archie Swims 36 yrs black female.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Annteeatta Archie Swims and to the family of David Lee Swims Jr.
