Oxford Man Arrested for Embezzlement at Dollar General
On May 4, 2021, the Oxford Police Department responded to Dollar General on Old Sardis Road in reference to an on-duty employee stealing merchandise. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the store manager and to the employee, identified as Ellis Walker (24 of Oxford, Mississippi).
Officers recovered the store merchandise, totaling over $1,900, from Walker’s vehicle and returned it to the store. Walker was subsequently arrested without incident and charged with Embezzlement.
Walker was given a $1,000 bond by a Lafayette County Justice Court judge.
