New Paintings by Jan Tranum Will Be on Display at The Gallery in the Green Room in Water Valley

Mississippi-based artist Jan Tranum has been honing her painting skills for the past seven years. She enjoys many forms of art, but her main focus is watercolor. She has studied at Mississippi State University and the University of Mississippi and has been a participant in the Water Valley Art Crawl.

Her influences are abstract artist Wassily Kandinsky for color and design and pop artist Takashi Murakami for his fun subject matter. Using watercolor and ink, Jan creates bold, colorful pieces showcasing her playful personality and childhood obsessions. Come out and support this Oxford-based artist.
