Today the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) is reporting 696 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 10 deaths. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 98,886, with 2,979 deaths.
Currently there are 431 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection. There are currently 132 people hospitalized in intensive care for confirmed COVID-19.
There are now 121 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff). There are 35 new long-term care cases and 1 new long-term care deaths.
