  1. Call to order.
  2. Adopt the agenda for the meeting.
  3. Mayor’s Report
  4. Authorize the approval of the minutes of the Regular meeting on June 5, 2018 and the Special meeting on June 8, 2018.
  5. Authorize the approval of accounts for all city departments.
  6. Consider the consent agenda:
    1. Request permission to hire a seasonal employee for the Environmental Services Department. (Braxton Tullos)
    2. Request permission for the Superintendent to attend the TVA All Customer Rate Review Meeting on August 7, 2018 in Murfreesboro, TN at an estimated cost of $185.00. (Rob Neely)
    3. Request permission for the Fire Chief to attend the EMS Educators Conference on July 25-27, 2018 in Murphreesboro, TN at an estimated cost of $550.00. (Mark Heath)
    4. Request permission for three officers to attend the Combat Handgun Instructor Course on June 25-27, 2018 in Oxford, MS at a cost of $900.00. (Joey East)
    5. Request permission to hire a Water/Waste Water Tech I in the Public Works Department. (Braxton Tullos)
  7. Update from Family Crisis Services on the 4th of July festivities. (Meredith Rawl)
  8. Consider a request from Grand Oaks to shoot fireworks for the 4th of July. (John Fassinger)
  9. Discuss the potential of a negotiated purchase of the Oxford Elementary property located on Hwy 30.
  10. Consider an appeal of the Planning Commission’s decision regarding Case #2310 for property located at 1013 North Lamar. (Judy Daniel)
  11. Second reading and public hearing for a proposed ordinance creating a Downtown District. (Joey East)
  12. Request permission to declare equipment surplus at FNC Park. (Brad Freeman)
  13. Request permission to declare a bus surplus in the Oxford University Transit Department. (Ron Biggs)
  14. Request permission to declare scrap parts surplus in the Oxford University Transit Department and authorize their disposal at a scrap metal facility. (Ron Biggs)
  15. Request permission to advertise for bids for five (5) 30 foot Heavy Duty Low Floor Buses. (Ron Biggs)
  16. Request permission to accept Phase I of a Hazard Mitigation Grant to correct drainage issues near the cemetery in the amount of $28,320.00 with a local match of $7,080.00. (Jimmy Allgood)
  17. Request permission to re-allocate funds to replace the scales at the Transfer Station. (Jamie Shaw)
  18. Request permission to declare a garbage truck surplus in the Environmental Services Department. (Jamie Shaw)
  19. Consider hiring an acoustics consultant to study noise levels in different areas of the city. (Judy Daniel)
