Locally owned and operated for almost 11 years, Two Stick is Oxford’s only sushi place on The Square and a great place for meeting up with friends before a show for some fresh fish and warm sake. Two Stick’s expansive sushi menu includes specialties like Shu’s Special Roll with crab, masago wrapped in cucumber topped with Japanese mayo and ponzu sauce and the Oxford Roll featuring fried catfish and cucumber topped with a sweet, spicy sauce. The Spicy Thai Noodle Soup is a steaming bowl of rice noodles, shrimp, spinach, and mushrooms swimming in a fiery (or mild upon request) broth. A great accompaniment to the soup is the Spring Salad—a bed of greens topped with colorful chopped veggies and toasty nuts and seeds. Great with the creamy peanut dressing! A favorite among the entrees is the Jumbo Crab Cake, a fresh lump crabmeat cake served with grilled asparagus and drizzled with a spicy remoulade sauce. The menu also features a selection of spicy Thai curries, innovative desserts (fried bananas!), and an appetizer selection that begs you to order a bunch to share among friends. Two Stick was voted “Oxford’s Favorite Asian Restaurant,” and “Oxford’s Favorite Sushi” in 2009!
