University, Miss. (TLV) - With an thrilling 86-84 overtime victory against Mississippi State this past Sunday, Head Coach Carol Ross and her Lady Rebels look to be well on their way to the NCAA tournament.
In overtime, Armintie Price took an inbounds pass and hit a jumper with 1.8 seconds remaining to lift Ole Miss over its in-state rival.
The victory gave Ole Miss its 20th win of the season and sent Price into the NCAA record books. She now has over 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 300 steals and 300 assists, becoming just the fifth player in NCAA women’s basketball history to do so. She joins Cheryl Miller (USC), Chamique Holdsclaw (Tennessee), Tamika Catchings (Tennessee) and Sophia Young (Baylor) in the prestigious club.
In addition to her team-high 18 points, Price barely missed the second triple-double of her career with 11 rebounds and eight assists. She also had two

steals. Ashley Awkward added 16 points and four assists for the Rebels, while Carla Bartee had 14 points off the bench to go along with six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
The 20 wins is the most for the Rebels under Ross and the most for the program since the 1994-95 Ole Miss squad posted a 21-8 ledger. Ole Miss has also posted a high in
conference wins under Ross with nine. The last time an Ole Miss squad finished with nine or more wins in SEC play was the 1991-92 season, when they went 11-0 and took home the conference title.
Ole Miss, (20-8, 9-4) will take the week off before returning against Auburn at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 25th. The game will honor will be the last home game for three Lady Rebels. Price, Ashley Awkward and Jada Mincy will be honored prior to tip-off.
